Named after ascophylum nodosum - the scientific term for seaweed - Ascophilia is a ribbed beanie with a whimsical ribbed motif inspired by aquatic plant-life. Knitted in the round from the bottom up, this pattern makes use of traveling stitches and increase/decrease techniques to create a striking, tactile design. Suitable for solid, semi-solid, and subtly variegated yarns, Ascophilia will keep you engaged from start to finish with its unusual, yet intuitive, stitch motif.
